Ghost Valley: Word of Honor & Faraway Wanderers

Soo, I‘m in the process of thinking about Wen Kexing’s living conditions in Ghost Valley once he usurped the old master. Is there any information about this in the novel? (I cannot remember anything clearly being shown in the drama) Alternately, what are your theories, or what have you encountered in fic?
I guess as Master he would have to have an easily defensible area where he (&Gu Xiang) spend their nights (they must sleep at SOME point), plus maybe an optional secret passage that leads out of the valley for secret trips and as an escape route.
But what is it? Does he live in a cave/ a mansion or ...?
