Summary:
Cao Weining was an unremarkable cultivator. His hand-to-hand was nothing to write about, his qinggong only so-so. Regarding his skill with a sword, it was at best average, proficient enough that no one dared to make fun, but at the same time utterly forgettable. And judging from the past withering glares from Wen-xiong, Cao Weining suspects his forays in the literary arena also leave much to be desired.
But there is one small thing he has going for him, besides a taste for fine dining.
Cao Weining can see people's souls. And A-Xiang's is the most beautiful he has ever seen.

Reccer's Notes: This take on a soulmate AU is very cool! I also love this for being a character study of Cao Weining, someone who is so easily overlooked. This fic expands his character and his history and breathes so much life into him, which I love.
