ghost_valley | Comm plans, with a poll!

Now that our SHL rewatch is finished (major kudos to

shadaras for 37 delightful posts!), your mods (

trobadora) have been thinking about what we could do to keep regular activities happening here at

ghost_valley. We got used to the weekly posts, and we hope you did too! :D

Here's what we've come up with - if there's interest, we're planning to alternate between two different things, so each would happen every other week and we'd all have plenty of time to respond:

Themed recs! A mod would make a post naming the theme and giving some starter recs, and then everyone else could (will, hopefully!) join in reccing things that fit the theme - ALL the things: fanfic, fanart, fanvvids, meta, discussions, gifsets, picspams, trivia ... whatever fits!

Themes could be characters, ships, tropes, episodes, etc. - just a few examples to start with: Ghost Valley-centric, Post-canon, Shen Shen-centric, Episode 27-related, Caoxiang-centric, Hurt/Comfort, Qi Ye-related, Young ZZS, Time Travel, Fix-it, Setting Change AUs, Found Family, PWP/Smut ...

Character discussions! The drama especially, but also the novel 'verse have so many great characters who aren't Wen Kexing or Zhou Zishu. Even Chengling and Ah-Xiang don't get nearly as much discussion, much less the rest of the cast. So we'd like to kick-start some discussion there with regular posts, each focusing on one character in particular.

Here's where you come in: we'd ask people to sign up and host one of these discussions. All you'd need to do is make a post about the character - you could include as much detail about them as you like, and ideally you'd give us a few questions to get us going. You could pick either the SHL or the TYK/QY version, or if you'd like you could do a comparison post.
